Anatomical variants of coeliac trunk in Polish population using multidetector computed tomography angiography

Background: Multidetector computed tomography angiography (MDCTA) has become a major part in evaluation of normal anatomy and its variants patients undergoing operative or interventional procedures. The purpose this study was to assess the frequency anatomical variation coeliac trunk MDCTA abdominal aorta. Materials methods: A descriptive, retrospective carried out on MDCTAs performed from January 2014 till 2020 Polish patients. Coeliac studied variations were noted according Adachi’s classification. All with abnormalities affecting vessels history any vascular abnormality excluded study. Results: Out total 1000 patients, hepatogastrosplenic found 93.0%. True false types trifurcation observed. Hepatosplenic 2.8%, coeliacomesenteric 1.1%, hepatomesenteric 1.7% gastrosplenic 1.4%. We have not observed hepatosplenomesenteric trunk. Conclusions: type knowledge is prime importance for an optimum preoperative planning surgical radiological procedure. allows minimally invasive assessment arterial high quality three-dimensional reconstruction images.
